Should You Buy Pioneer In Car Stereos?

Pioneer is one of the most popular brands of in-car stereo. The reasons for this should come as no surprise: they have an exceptional build quality, rarely cause problems, are relatively easy to install – even for after car sales, and they have fantastic functionality. However, rather than believe blindly what someone tells you, it’s important for you to learn these things for yourself. Here, we’re going to consider Pioneer car audio in greater depth. By the time you reach the end of this article, you should have a clear answer to the question in the title; and it should be a resounding ‘yes’.

Integration across the Various Components of Your Car Stereo

The first thing to note about Pioneer car audio is that they manufacture a range of audio products, including head units, speakers, woofers and ancillary connections. These products are manufactured by the same company, and as such work best when used together. Pioneer makes all of their equipment to the highest standards, so if you stick with this brand, then you know that you will have great sound quality. Clearly, other manufacturers that make products that perform equally to Pioneer, but in general, it makes most sense to stick with a single manufacturer.

The lower end speakers do tend to be low in quality, and so are somewhat hit and miss in relation to their sound quality. However, most people agree that their high-end speakers work very well.

Generally, Pioneer is known best for its head units, rather than any of its other audio equipment. Most people do recommend other brands for speakers, bass and woofers, but when combined as part of an entire audio system, alongside their head unit, they do offer great sound quality.

Lightness

One of the most prominent features of Pioneer audio is its weight. They tend to use materials that weigh relatively little, but which are hard wearing and enduring. The reason they do this is to ensure that the system has as little impact on the car’s performance as possible. Now, this has two meanings:

1.It is light on energy use. When the head unit draws power from the battery, it does so in a relatively unassuming way. You don’t really feel it as a drag on the engine. With older styles of radios, you could really feel the drain on the battery. You’d see the headlights dim, you’d hear the engine purr more quietly, etc. Modern Pioneer stereos have much less draw on the battery. They are energyefficient.

2.It is light, as opposed to heavy, and therefore does not weigh the car down as much as certain other models. While this is only minimal with outfits that contain simple speakers and head units, with cars that are kitted out with a lot of equipment, there can be quite a lot of weight added to the car. This will mean that the car uses more fuel, as it is literally working harder. Pioneer’s audio equipment is designed to be as light as possible to minimise fuel consumption, while maintaining enough weigh to remain of a high quality.
