The Advantages of Parking Cameras

I love the 21st century. Everything it being made so easy, and there are so many new inventions: it's a great time to be alive. One thing that I particularly love is how technology has improved my driving experience. From cruise control to parking aids, driving has never been so easy. The best thing of all, though, is my rear view camera kit. It’s done a lot to improve my driving. If you’re thinking of buying a read view camera kit, but you don’t know if it’s right for you, then read on. The following are a list of things that I've found useful with mine.

1.They make it easier to park:the main reasons I bought a camera was to help me park. It’s not that I’m particularly bad at parking, but rather that my car has a particularly large blind spot. Now, it’s much easier to drive – even if the blind spot wasn’t an issue, because I don’t really have to think about what I’m doing. I just look at the screen. I don’t have to worry about how close I'm getting by leaning my head out of the window and getting into all sorts of weird positions. No, I can just see.

2.They help to prevent accidents:when trying to park, I haven’t bumped into anything in years. And that includes curbs. Before, I wasn’t too bad, but I have dinked a couple of bollards in my time. That doesn’t happen anymore. Now, my car doesn’t have any scratches or bumps from bad parking (it does have a scratch down the side, but that’s someone bumping into it – the joys of on-street parking!). I think this is the first car I've had that doesn’t have any parking-related injuries.

3.They negate the problems with the blind spot: I touched on this above, but one of the reasons that I bought the camera kit was because it can see when I can’t. All cars have a blind spot in their rear-view mirrors and wing mirrors. If you don’t think this is true, then you’re in for a rude awakening one day (that happens to most teenagers at some point, and it certainly happened to me!). The blind spot is relatively large, and it can easily hide a small person, dog or narrow post. To make sure that you can see in your blind spot, you actually need to turn around and look, instead of relying on your mirrors. A rear view camera kit negates this, because you can see in your blind spot without turning around.

4.They make your insurance cheaper:because they make it easier to park, cameras, lead to fewer accidents. For this reasons, your insurance premiums are cheaper. If your existing insurer doesn’t offer cheaper insurance then it’s because they’re a bit behind with the statistics. Change insurance companies and you will find a better rate.

5.Prevent embarrassing bumps in public:one of the best things about the camera is that there are no embarrassing accidents that are common when it comes to parking. I've definitely embarrassed myself with parking. When I was new to driving, I had to ask my sort ofboss (she was my superior, but not my direct boss) to park my car because I couldn’t get it in the parking spot. This was outside the front of the building, in front of everyone: cringe.
